Company Profile
Founded in 1995, our client is a niche private equity firm located in Greenwich,
CT. The firm invests equity of $2-10MM in growing companies with revenue of
$25-150MM. Supported by an advisory panel of entrepreneurs and executives, our
client targets established companies with high-caliber and committed management
teams. Management is currently investing from its most recent fund, which was
raised from a number of high net worth individuals and several banks. They intend
to raise a $100-150MM "plain vanilla" fund in 2006. Their current portfolio
contains six companies with aggregate revenue of $830MM. The team is lean, comprising
4-5 professionals with one administrative assistant.
The Role:
Chief Financial Officer Reporting to the Managing Partner, the CFO will assume
responsibility for fund accounting, investor relations, portfolio reporting,
office management and the like - basically all functions not handled in the
deal sourcing/execution process. The chosen candidate will be an integral member
of senior management and will play a significant role in enhancing the existing
portfolio company reporting metrics. Additionally, s/he will serve as the point
of contact with investors, external auditors and the outside tax preparation
firm. A detailed breakdown of responsibilities follows:

Investor relations (tax, performance, calls, ad hoc/personal projects)

Candidate Profile & Qualifications
The incoming CFO will be a CPA with a strong financial accounting foundation
gained in a Big 4 public accounting firm. S/he will possess a strong intellectual
curiosity and a high degree of sophistication and confidence. Private equity
experience with exposure to partnership accounting/investment/tax accounting
is preferred. Candidates with strong operating company experience will be given
serious consideration as well.
Compensation
The chosen candidate will earn a very competitive base salary and be eligible
for annual and deal-related bonuses.
