William J. Bardani, CPA - Managing Director

Bill founded Vision Financial Search LLC (VFS) in 2000 and since then has been instrumental in driving the firm's growth during a very turbulent business climate. He has emerged as one of the area's leading financial recruiters while earning a reputation for his professional ethics, honesty and integrity.

In addition to leading VFS's business development initiatives, Bill performs senior financial executive searches for middle market companies. He also conducts Director and Senior Manager level searches within the areas of financial reporting, technical accounting, internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, financial planning & analysis, financial systems, treasury and tax for larger organizations.

Bill is co-founder of the CFO Knowledge Network, a confidential peer network of area CFO's who share ideas and experiences about common challenges and current trends. He was formerly the Secretary for the Westchester - Fairfield County Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and currently serves on its Board of Governors.

Prior to VFS, Bill spent four and a half years in a leadership capacity for a national recruiting firm. He began his career with the Stamford office of Price Waterhouse LLP in their Audit and Business Advisory Services practice. Bill graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Bill resides in Easton, Connecticut with his wife, Carolyn.

Matthew P. McMahon

Matthew P. McMahon Director

In 2002, Matt was recruited to join Vision Financial Search LLC (VFS) in order to add an experienced leader to a rapidly growing search firm. Since joining VFS, Matt has completed numerous management and executive level searches in accounting, finance and technology. He counts among his clients Fortune 500 companies in the manufacturing and reinsurance industries, management consulting firms, public accounting firms, healthcare providers and a handful of the area's most prestigious financial services firms. Additionally, Matt has been published in The Fordyce Letter, the search industry's leading periodical.

Prior to joining VFS, Matt was an Associate with a national biotech & pharmaceutical search firm. He began his recruiting career with a Fairfield County-based technology search firm, where he founded their new media and interactive search practice.

Prior to entering the search profession, Matt served as a Field Corpsman with a U.S. Marine Corps Rifle Company. He served both on active duty - with tours in Panama and Chile, and as a Reservist while at the University of Connecticut. During his service, Matt received multiple awards for technical competence and devotion to duty.

Matt lives in Wilton, Connecticut with his wife, Beth Anne.

Pio A. Imperati

Pio was recruited to Vision Financial Search LLC (VFS) in 2004 and has assumed a leadership role in the firm's candidate development and search fulfillment efforts. In this capacity, he is able to leverage his extensive professional network developed during his prior career in finance. Pio has quickly earned a reputation as a highly-effective, conscientious and ethical search professional.

Before to joining VFS, Pio worked in corporate finance for Diageo plc, a $16 billion dollar spirits producer and distributor. Pio began his career with the Hartford office of Andersen LLP in their Assurance and Business Advisory Services practice. His clients included companies within the manufacturing, financial services and health care industries.

Pio earned a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. He currently resides in Woodbridge, Connecticut.

Michael J. Bajda
Recruiting Manager
Mike joined Vision Financial Search LLC (VFS) in 2005 and has responsibility for candidate development and search fulfillment initiatives.

Before joining VFS, Mike was a Senior Financial Analyst with Diageo plc, a $16 billion dollar spirits producer and distributor, where he played a key role in their implementation of SAP. Mike also held accounting and reporting roles of increasing responsibility with CHI Energy and The Ashforth Company.

Mike is a graduate of Sacred Heart University where he majored in Accounting. He was drafted out of college by the Detroit Tigers and was a pitcher within their organization for three years. Mike and his wife, Katie, live in Stratford, Connecticut.
